WELCOME TO GEELONG UNITED BASKETBALL’S WEEKLY UPDATE.

IN THIS EDITION:

WNBL Update:

Wnbl Stuff

It was our second overtime thriller in a row last week against Sydney, and unfortunately the result again didn’t go in our favour.

While we did fall agonisingly short to the Flames by 3 points, there were again plenty of positives – Including another double double from MVP contender Mackenzie Holmes who had 28 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists. Alissa Brett also took big advantage of her extended time on the floor dropping 22 points in her best outing of the season so far.

With the unfortunate season ending injury to star guard/forward Gemma Potter, we’re pleased to announce the signing of Georgia Woolley as an injury-replacement player. Woolley joins the club with an impressive résumé across U.S. college basketball, NBL1 and international development pathways. Read more about Georgia here.

Next up, we’re staying on the road and heading to Ballarat for a neutral ground clash against the Bendigo Spirit at Selkirk Stadium. Catch all the action this Friday night from 5:30pm – Watch live on ESPN or Disney+.
