WELCOME TO GEELONG UNITED BASKETBALL’S WEEKLY UPDATE.

NBL1 Update:

Women turn it up to 11 – Men with work to do:

Our women’s squad have continued their perfect run for the season, defeating Eltham by 20 points.

Jaz Shelley was once again a standout star for Geelong dropping 32 points along with 7 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 steals and 1 block. Hannah Hank also continued her stellar form scoring 25 points and pulling down 10 rebounds to rack up her 6th double double for the season.

Our men’s squad didn’t fare as well on the road, going down in a narrow loss by 5 points. A returning George Blagojevic scored 16 points off the bench, followed by Liam Herbert with 15, and Tristan Forsyth on 14 points for the game.

Both teams now return home this Saturday night for a massive double header against Melbourne.

Both teams are back on home floor this Saturday afternoon, serving as the curtain raiser for for NBL1 in a massive quadruple header from 1pm!

U14 Girls 3 who scored an 11 point win over Melton.
