WNBL Update:
Geelong Venom have officially claimed their first trophy!
Across the weekend, all WNBL clubs headed up to Townsville for the Tip Off tournament. Geelong came out of the weekend 2-0 over their two games, one of only two squads to do so alongside host side Townsville Fire.
The preseason tournament win was secured in the dying seconds of our second game, with Indiah Bowyer sinking a 3 pointer to tie the final quarter against Bendigo and give our squad a win by the slimmest of margins – Just 0.5 points ahead at the top of the standings.
In an all round successful weekend, Maddy Rocci was also crowned tournament MVP.

TAC Geelong United Tournament 2026 (Koorr Koorr Ngitji):
GUB will once again be holding a celebration of our sport by Coming Together (Waddawurrung: Koorr Koorr Ngitji) at a festival of basketball!
Now in its fifth year, the tournament will be held from October 31-November 1, 2026 across the multiple venues that host Geelong United’s community games each week.
Over the course of the weekend, teams will play a minimum of four games against other VJBL clubs, country associations and community teams from across the nation.
