RL Signs GUB Champs League Women’s Game of the Week: Try Boys vs. Sharks
The Sharks continued their impressive late season charge with a convincing 68-49 victory over Try Boys in the RL Signs GUB Champs League Women’s Game of the Week.
Georgia Varley was unstoppable for the Sharks, pouring in a game-high 35 points in a dominant performance. Emma Hills provided valuable support with 10 points, while contributions across the roster proved just as important. Emma Jarvis added seven points, Ebony Coppock chipped in six, and five additional Sharks players found their way onto the scoresheet in a balanced team effort.
Facing the challenge of having no bench rotation, Try Boys battled hard throughout the contest. Alisha Knights led the way with 21 points, while Alivia Osborne added 14 as the pair worked tirelessly to keep their side in touch. Try Boys remained competitive through two of the four quarters, but decisive runs in the second and fourth terms proved costly. The Sharks gained valuable separation with a 20-14 second quarter before finishing strongly with a 21-12 final term to secure the 19-point victory.
With three rounds remaining before finals, the Sharks have surged into third place and are shaping as a genuine contender once again, while Try Boys remain firmly in the hunt in fourth.

RL Signs GUB Champs League Men’s Game of the Week: Pivot City vs. SG Kings
The SG Kings have thrown the RL Signs GUB Champs League Men’s competition wide open, producing a statement performance to upset Pivot City 102-78 and keep their finals hopes alive.
With their season on the line, the Kings came out firing and never looked back. Darcy Walters led the charge with 25 points, while the Kings’ depth proved the key factor throughout the contest. Isaiah Ekhator and Riley Pendergast each poured in 21 points, and all but one of the remaining players on the six-man roster reached double figures in a remarkably balanced offensive display.
Pivot City had no shortage of scoring power of their own, with Max Kos producing a game-high 30 points. Kai Dumbell added 18 and Harry Moran chipped in 16, but the Kings’ ability to spread the scoring load across multiple players proved difficult to contain.
The 24-point victory comes at the perfect time for the Kings, who remain firmly in the finals race with three rounds to play. Currently sitting sixth, they are just one win outside the top four and building momentum at the right end of the season.
For Pivot City, the loss sees them slip to third place on the ladder, although they remain in a strong position, holding a two-game buffer over fourth-placed Lara Giants as the race to finals heats up.
