NBL1 Update:
Women’s unbeaten run now at 17 – Men secure big home win:
Two big wins from our Plan Group Geelong United sides in NBL1 action over the weekend.
Our women’s squad extended their unbeaten run to 17 with an emphatic 41 point demolition of Nunawading. Jaz Shelley top scored with 22 points, continuing her case for MVP contention. Hannah hank was also a bright spark for the home side, though both would come out of the game a little banged up through physical play. At this stage, all reports suggest they will be fine to suit up this weekend.
Our men’s squad had a slightly tougher outing, but walked away 9 point winners over Nunawading. Tristan Forsyth continued his impactful form, dropping 24 points along with a whopping 15 rebounds for his double double. Liam Herbert (19 points) and Kaelen Malone (18 points) wer also key pieces in the win for United.
