RL Signs GUB Champs League Women’s Game of the Week – Wildcats vs. Pivot City

The Wildcats produced an emphatic response in this week’s RL Signs GUB Champs League Women’s Game of the Week, rolling past Pivot City 123–52 to snap back from last round’s heavy defeat in style.

From the opening tip, the Wildcats set a blistering tempo on both ends of the floor, overwhelming a short-handed Pivot City outfit and never allowing the contest to settle.

Chantelle Hall was outstanding, pouring in an impressive 40 points to anchor the Wildcats’ offensive explosion. She received plenty of support, with all five additional Wildcats players reaching double figures. Paige Pititto added a strong 23 points, while Charlotte Armstrong contributed 19 in a balanced and unselfish team performance that highlighted the Wildcats’ depth and cohesion.

Pivot City, light on numbers and forced to play without a bench rotation, showed plenty of heart. Livinia Wilson (19 points) and Shayna Brown (18) combined well to lead the scoring, but the lack of depth made it difficult to contain the Wildcats’ relentless pressure.

The win lifts the Wildcats into second place early in the season. Meanwhile, after three rounds, Pivot City continue their search for a first victory.

RL Signs GUB Champs League Men’s Game of the Week – CC Eagles vs. Surfcoasters

The CC Eagles continued their strong start to the season with an impressive 87–73 victory over the Surfcoasters in this week’s RL Signs GUB Champs League Men’s Game of the Week.

From the outset, the Eagles looked composed and balanced, spreading the scoreboard pressure across the floor and setting the tone with consistent energy at both ends.

Five CC Eagles finished the night in double figures, underlining the depth that has become a trademark of their early-season form. William Ilsley led the way with 18 points, while Josiah Davies added a steady 14 as the Eagles controlled the tempo for long stretches. When the Surfcoasters threatened to close the gap, CC Eagles were able to execute when it mattered most, opening up breathing room late and holding firm down the stretch.

The Surfcoasters stayed competitive through strong individual efforts, led by Ethan Nicholls’ game-high 22 points and solid support from Curtis Broadhead with 17. However, they struggled to match the Eagles’ sustained pressure over four quarters.

The win keeps CC Eagles unbeaten and sitting second overall behind YMCA on percentage. Surfcoasters now move to a 1–2 record, currently seventh on the ladder.
