In the lead up to every BigV home game of the 2026 season, we’ll be checking in with the coaches to see how everything is shaping up for the game.
How are we expected to perform? Who should we be looking out for to fill the stat sheet? What are the keys to a big win?
It’s all answered here with the Coaches Weekend Rundown!
BigV VYC Men: Head Coach, Luke Beard
How has the teams preparation been in the lead up to this weekend?
Our pre-season started back in November, the team have come together with a strong focus on We over Me and Good to Great! We’re excited to get the season underway against one of last year’s grand finalists.
What are some of the key matchups for the game?
Our team has a lot of depth this year. We’ve got plenty of great options to cover multiple roles on the floor so we’ll be looking to keep the energy high through rotations.
What are some other key areas you’ll be looking to control in the game?
We’re always looking to control our energy and effort, they are our non-negotiables.
What’s your final message for the fans?
Come and watch generation next! This is the pathway for our club and we have a lot of exciting young talent going up against the best in the state.
