NBL1 Update:
Round three in the books:
Round 3 saw our women’s squad walk away with 2 wins, which now puts them at the top of the NBL1 South ladder with a perfect 4-0 record to start the season.
Our men’s side meanwhile showed great signs but ultimately went down in some narrow losses – The Saturday night clash proving to be an especially tight contest as the game was decided in the final 20 sec with both teams tied at 89 a piece before a Bendigo pull-up jumper would see them take the win.
We now take a break going into the Easter long weekend and return to the court on ANZAC day as our Tasmania road double header gets underway. Watch the games live via nbl1.com.au.
NBL1 player signing:
Geelong United Basketball is pleased to announce the signing of US import player Annika Stewart for the remainder of the NBL1 South season.
Fresh off the back of winning the 2025 WBIT Championship with the University of Minnesota women’s basketball team, the 6 foot 3 forward/centre will join the ranks of Geelong’s 4 and 0 women’s squad, adding even more depth to the already impressive roster.
