RL Signs Geelong United Basketball Men’s Winter Championship | Semi-Final Wrap

A Marach Marach-inspired Pivot City will feature in another RL Signs Geelong United Basketball Men’s Winter Championship grand final after overcoming Lara Giants in the second semi-final, 107-75.

The talented youngster produced a stunning 46-point haul as Pivot pulled away in the second half to record a comfortable victory.

Showing his versatility, Marach knocked down five three-pointers in his season-high tally.

Leading by seven at half-time, a 30-18 third quarter from Pivot ensured the Giants will have to go via a preliminary final if it’s to be part of grand final action.

Cohen Blythe (22 points) and Tyler Erard (17 points) ensured Pivot City had plenty of scoring options outside of Marach.

Jackson Bentley was again the standout for Lara as he took his season tally past 400 points on the back of 25 tonight.

Usual suspects Jack Burnett (21 points) and Joel McFall (16) also contributed for the Giants.
