There was everything to play for in the RL Signs GUB Champs League Men’s Game of the Week, with CC Eagles and SG Kings battling for a coveted top-four position heading into finals. When the dust settled, it was the Eagles who rose to the occasion, claiming a decisive 73-57 victory and booking their finals berth.
The contest was tight through the opening half, with the Kings holding the advantage at both the first and second breaks. However, the game turned dramatically after halftime as CC Eagles delivered a dominant third-quarter performance, outscoring the Kings 23-9 to seize control of the clash.
Curtis Ryan led the way for the Eagles with a game-high 16 points, while William Ilsley added 12 and Keegan Johnson chipped in with 11 in a well-rounded offensive display.
