GUB Champs League Wrap – Round 18

RL Signs GUB Champs League Women’s Game of the Week: Wildcats vs. Pivot City

With finals fast approaching, Wildcats strengthened their top-three credentials with a convincing 71-51 victory over Pivot City in the RL Signs GUB Champs League Womenโ€™s Game of the Week.

Jessica Dellar delivered a match-winning performance, pouring in a game-high 28 points to lead the Wildcats attack. While Dellarโ€™s scoring proved the decisive factor, it was far from a one-player show, with Ava Stonehouse, Ruby Hall and Lilly Hine providing valuable support as each finished with 10 points.

Pivot City had their moments and received solid contributions from Macey Bowie (14 points), Shayna Brown (12) and Rhiannon Stephenson (10), but they were unable to contain Dellar as Wildcats gradually pulled away to secure the 20-point win.

The result sees Wildcats improve to an 11-6 record and remain firmly in the hunt for a coveted top-two finish heading into the final round of the regular season. They sit third on the ladder, level on wins and losses with second-placed Try Boys but narrowly behind on percentage.

For Pivot City, the loss leaves them in fifth place at 3-13 and out of finals contention, with a crucial wooden spoon battle against the bottom-placed Surfcoasters looming next week.

Other Results: Try Boys def. Surfcoasters 69-43, YMCA def. Sharks 74-53.
