RL Signs GUB Champs League Women’s Game of the Week: Try Boys vs. YMCA
YMCA continued their strong run at the top of the ladder with a hard-fought 75–72 victory over Try Boys in the RL Signs GUB Champs League Women’s Game of the Week.
Aleks Connolly delivered a dominant performance, pouring in a game-high 36 points to lead YMCA. She was well supported by Miley Dawkins, who added 19 points, and Taylah Richards with 14, as the trio carried the bulk of the scoring load in a composed offensive display.
Try Boys matched YMCA for much of the contest, showcasing impressive depth. Summer Field and Alivia Osborne each contributed 15 points, while three other teammates also reached double figures, keeping the pressure on throughout a tightly contested matchup.
Despite the balanced scoring from Try Boys, YMCA’s star power and ability to execute in key moments proved the difference late in the game.
The win sees YMCA strengthen their hold on top spot with a 7–2 record, opening a valuable gap on the chasing pack. Try Boys now sit 4–4 in fourth place as the competition heads into a crucial second half of the season.

RL Signs GUB Champs League Men’s Game of the Week: Lara Giants vs. Pivot City
Pivot City strengthened their standing as a genuine contender with an impressive 87–78 win over Lara Giants in the RL Signs GUB Champs League Game of the Week.
It was a balanced offensive performance from Pivot, led by the dynamic duo of Malang Athian and Max Kos, who each poured in 23 points. Their scoring punch set the tone, while Marach Marach added a valuable 18 points to underline the depth that ultimately separated the two sides.
Lara had their moments, with Nate Hargrave delivering a game-high 24 points in a standout effort. He was well supported by Jack Burnett (18 points) and James Box (16), keeping the Giants within striking distance for much of the contest.
However, Pivot’s ability to generate consistent contributions across the floor proved decisive, particularly in the closing stages.
The result sees Pivot City firm in second place on the ladder with a 7–2 record, trailing only the undefeated YMCA. Lara, meanwhile, slip to 4–5 and sit fifth as the competition heads into a crucial second half of the season.
