RL Signs GUB Champs League Women’s Game of the Week – Sharks vs. Surfcoasters

Sharks produced a dominant display to claim an 86-66 win over the Surfcoasters in the RL Signs GUB Champs League Women’s Game of the Week, showcasing their depth and firepower to remain at the top end of the ladder. Jada Button delivered a standout performance, leading all scorers with an impressive 36 points, consistently finding ways to hurt the Surfcoasters across all four quarters. She was well supported by GUB BigV Youth League representative Neve Terpstra, who added 22 points in an excellent complementary role.
The Surfcoasters battled hard, with Sienna McCumber carrying much of the offensive load with 21 points, while Freya Byrne (15) and Jessie Mulroyan (14) provided solid support. Despite their efforts, the Surfcoasters struggled to match the Sharks’ scoring depth and sustained pressure.
The result sees the Sharks improve to 5-2, sitting equal top with YMCA but ahead on percentage, while the Surfcoasters move to 2-2-1 and will be eager to build momentum heading into the back half of the season as positions begin to tighten across the competition.

RL Signs GUB Champs League Men’s Game of the Week – SG Kings vs. Pivot City
Pivot City outlasted SG Kings in a high-scoring 102-91 contest in the RL Signs GUB Champs League Men’s Game of the Week, with offensive depth and sustained pressure proving the difference. In a game where every player found the scoreboard, Pivot’s balance stood out, with five of their six players hitting double figures.
Max Kos led the charge with 26 points, providing a strong focal point for the winners, while Ethan Blythe (20) and Oscar Leavold (19) delivered valuable support to keep the scoreboard ticking over. Their collective production ensured Pivot maintained control when the game was on the line.
Jackson Cone was outstanding for the Kings, leading all scorers with 35 points in a tireless effort. He was well supported by Isaiah Ekhator (14) and Ezekiel Rickard (12), but the Kings were unable to match the consistency and defensive intensity shown by Pivot across four quarters.
The win sees Pivot City improve to 6-1, holding second place behind undefeated YMCA, while SG Kings slip to seventh on the ladder at 2-5 as the competition heats up.
