RL Signs GUB Champs League Women’s Game of the Week – Try Boys vs. YMCA
Try Boys delivered the upset of the round in the RL Signs GUB Champs League Women’s Game of the Week, knocking off YMCA 77–69 with a composed and well-balanced team performance. Against one of the competition’s early pace-setters, Try Boys spread the scoring load and executed when it mattered most.
Five of their seven players reached double figures in an impressive collective effort, led by Alisha Knights who finished with 18 points. Jade Chow (15) and Summer Field (14) provided consistent scoring pressure, while contributions across the rotation ensured Try Boys were able to match YMCA at both ends of the floor and close out the contest with confidence.
YMCA were led by Geelong United NBL1 and Big V Youth League representative Aleks Connolly, who produced a game-high 29 points in a standout individual display. Miley Dawkins offered strong support with 18, but YMCA were unable to find the same scoring depth as their opponents down the stretch.
The win moves Try Boys into third place on the ladder with a 2–1–1 record for the season. YMCA remain second overall, narrowly trailing Wildcats on percentage, after suffering their first loss of the campaign.

RL Signs GUB Champs League Men’s Game of the Week – YMCA vs. Wildcats
YMCA continued their red‑hot start to the RL Signs GUB Champs League Men’s season with a commanding 127–66 victory over the Wildcats in the Game of the Week. The unbeaten ladder leaders were in control from the outset, setting the tempo early and never allowing the visitors a look-in as they showcased their depth and firepower.
The high-scoring duo of Kuol Reech (26 points) and Phil Wickham (25) led the charge in another sharp offensive display, while YMCA’s balanced attack was on full show with four additional players reaching double figures. Ball movement, defensive pressure and relentless transition offence underpinned a dominant team performance from the competition’s top side.
William Jones did the heavy lifting for the Wildcats, pouring in 23 points to keep his team fighting, with Cory Jones providing strong support with 18. However, a lack of depth proved costly as YMCA’s wave of contributors wore the Wildcats down across four quarters.
YMCA remain the only undefeated team in the competition, improving to a perfect 4–0 record and sitting proudly atop the table. The Wildcats will look to regroup next week as they continue the hunt for their first win of the season.
