Geelong United Basketball (GUB) would like to say Thank You to our TOD program.
Our Referees and Scoretable officials have had a very busy and successful year.
We have received the 2024 Victorian Country Commission’s Large Association Referee Program Award.
With an increase of referees to over 400 we were able to make 36,000+ appointments for 2024.
The percentage of females has significantly increased now to 22%, which put us in a position to appoint only females to all 6 courts at Beyond Bank Stadium on a Saturday morning.
As well as running several Senior Championship games with all 3 referees being females. We would like to thank everyone who signed up to join our green shirt trainee program, and a special thanks to the mature beginner referees who also started this year.
We had several of our referees invited to referee and referee coach at all divisions of the Basketball Victorias Country Championships and Country Jamboree.
