Geelong United Basketball (GUB) is pleased to announce the signing of Tanielle Knight for the upcoming NBL1 South season commencing in March of 2025.
Having previously suited up for Geelong’s NBL1 side as a development player in 2021, and now as a development player on Geelong’s WNBL roster, Tanielle will be no stranger to the local audience when she hits the court for a more prominent role in 2025.
Tanielle has spent the last few years in Wyndham’s Big V championship side where in her most recent season she averaged 9.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.9 steals a game.
“To be a part of the NBL1 team is going to be great,” Tanielle said. “With six of us from the WNBL squad, we’ll have that chemistry already which will help us out. Along with the other players signed, they’re all a great bunch of people – It’s going to be a great season.”
Five more of Tanielle’s fellow WNBL teammates will join her as part of the 2025 NBL1 Women’s side including Jaz Shelley, Hannah Hank and Taylor Mole and Gemma Potter, with 1 last announcement still to come tomorrow.
