Eve Braslis has capped an impressive individual RL Signs Geelong United Basketball Women’s Winter Championship regular season as Pivot City overcame a challenging Christian College by 12 points at AWA Alliance Bank Stadium.

Braslis poured in 34 points in the 80-68 victory – Pivot’s 11th of the campaign.

Ella Tofaeono (16 points) and Vanessa Marsh (13) were also handy contributors for the winners.

Veteran big Candice Rogers led the Eagles’ challenge with 18 points.

Fourteen points from Alivia Osborne and 13 apiece for Summer Field and Olivia Cameron ensured Christian College was competitive until the end.

Sharks tuned up for the finals with a comfortable 109-43 victory over Try Boys at AWA Alliance Bank Stadium.

Georgia Varley landed seven three-pointers in her game-high 44-point haul, with Cortney Hollowood (25 points) and Emily Prior (16) also cashing in.

Kayla Blazko and Emma Quirk contributed 12 points apiece for the Bears, while Shania Soutar had 10 points.

Some of the region’s finest young talent was on display at Geelong Arena as finals-bound Wildcats recorded a narrow 67-60 victory over Surfcoasters.

Jasmine King and Ella Wolfenden dropped 20 points for Wildcats, with Kiara Foster contributing 16.

Amelia Jovic (15 points), Keely Burland (12) and Annie Poon (11) kept the ‘Coasters more than competitive.

YMCA, which will meet Wildcats in a knockout semi-final next week, had the bye.
