The experienced combination of Candice Byrt and Olivia Cameron has proved the difference as Christian College Eaglesย claimed its second win of the Geelong United Basketball Winter Championship women’s season on Tuesday night.
Byrt finished with 31 points in a dominant inside display, and Cameron was dynamic with 24 points as the Eagles posted a 91-53 win over Surfcoasters in Round 6 action at AWA Alliance Bank Stadium.
Alivia Osborne (19 points) and Alaina Peacock (12) were also crucial for the Eagles.
Youngsters Amelia Jovic (16 points), Brooke Egan (14) and Annie Poon (13) battled hard for Surfcoasters.

Sharks handed Pivot City its first loss of the season with a nailbiting 71-70 result at AWA.
Guard duo Cortney Hollowood (31 points) and Alex Duck (27) combined for the majority of Sharks’ final score in the absence of Georgia Varley.
Eve Braslis was again the standout for Pivot with 28 points, with Ella Tofaeono contributing 15.
YMCA gained an easy three points from a forfeit by Try Boys.
