The 2026 FIBA rule changes are now in effect.

These changes include significant updates to how the game is played and officiated, including the Act of Shooting, Technical Fouls, the introduction of the Disruptive Foul, Flagrant Fouls, Game Disqualification and new referee signals.

Check out this breakdown of these new rules and changes as we make our way into a new summer season.

For the complete wording and application of each rule, refer to the official FIBA Basketball Rules.
