Geelong United Basketball (GUB) is proud to welcome Ben Rogers as our new Media & Communications Manager.
Geelong born and raised, Ben is a familiar voice to the region, having spent the last five years hosting workdays on K rock 95.5. Geelong United fans will also recognize his voice from our NBL1 game nights, as he’s both produced and hosted game night entertainment for the past two seasons – “It’s been such a great experience producing the game night entertainment, and the chance to be involved with GUB even further is very exciting,” Ben said.
Ben also brings a solid design background to the role, having graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Arts through The Gordon, which was put on show through the popular NBL1 game night posters – and will be put to work further, developing future projects with GUB.
After a 13 year radio career, Ben is looking forward to exploring a new path with GUB – “Transitioning to a full-time role with GUB allows us to dedicate more time to making NBL1 game nights even bigger and better, whilst also spreading the word about the great work the organization does on a community level. And with the growing status of basketball as a whole, it’s a very fun time to be involved.”
